Awesome little enclosure

- Fits 12mm high drives with a bit of wiggle room Aluminum housing does a great job of drawing heat away from the drive keeping drive temperatures low The housing also does a better job than plastic housings at isolating the noise of the running drive Includes just about everything - carrying bag, double-headed USB cable, SATA-eSATA bracket, eSATA cable Assembly is super easy
- Weaknesses:
- Build quality is slightly lacking, the metal tray was installed crooked in 2 directions on mine causing the drive to not line up properly with the SATA connector, I had to bend the tabs for the bracket and unscrew it to get it all adjusted together nicely The wiring for the LED was improperly run and kept the drive from seating fully on the SATA connector, while I was adjusting the tray alignment I fixed this too It uses a smaller than normal 5V plug for when you are using over eSATA
- Summary:
- This is an awesome little enclosure, sure it isn't as small as some others (as it is 15mm thick to accommodate 12mm high drives I consider this a benefit) but even if you don't need the height for the drive having the aluminum case is worth the very small amount of extra space it takes up. It could be of slightly better build quality and better designed but from a features perspective it is unbeatable.

- Has all cables including eSATA cable. Includes carrying bag. Two-headed USB cable has one 'through' end so you can still use one of the USB ports for something else. Small case yet able to use 12.5mm High drives. The word 'Velocity' on the end cap lights up when HD is in use. Also includes eSATA PC tower adapter to made your tower eSATA ready. Powered by two-headed USB cable or DC 5V power supply.
- Weaknesses:
- Plastic end caps. DC 5V power supply sold separately if you need it.
- Summary:
- An excellent 2.5" HD case with everything you need including eSATA ready. For the price, it can't be beat.
