- Strengths:
- No external power require, auto switch, nice HDMI cable included and very small
- Weaknesses:
- IR scanner is on the same side of the input HDMI cable slots
- Summary:
- The best part of it is no power adapter! Including a 180 degree turn HDMI cable is a big plus. Auto switch works very well. People said it does not work is because they are not even thinking that this unit does not have it's own power so for surer the HDMI input devices must provide power!
This is great

- Strengths:
- self powered does not need a wall wart
- Weaknesses:
- Should have come with mounting tape
- Summary:
- I bought this to share a port between X box and Blue ray player does that perfectly it comes with a remote but have not needed it as it senses witch unit you have turned on . This unit can actually be found for less than $30.00 . The fact that it does not need a wall wart for power is great as I hate wall warts
kinda sucks

- Strengths:
- - supports full 1080p resolution
- supports HDCP
- HDMI 1.3 compliant
- small
- Weaknesses:
- - draws power from HDMI, which would be fine if every device provided enough power for it to operate. my shaw digital tuner does not, meaning i must also turn on one of the other devices (blu-ray player) in order for it to have enough power to pass-thru the TV signal.
- it does automatically switch, not to what's last to be turned on or still to be left on, but switches to whichever device has the strongest signal and STAYS on it even after that device is off. so it will automatically switch to one device whenever it's turned on, but you will still have to manually switch it to over to the other 2 devices.
- piss poor design. 3 inputs and IR window on the SAME side. in order to face the IR window forwards that means you must also have 3 HDMI cables hanging off the front. why not put all HDMI ports on one side and the IR window on the opposite? not doing so is completely illogical and makes it a pain to hide or keep cables tidy.
- Summary:
- i suppose this switch would be just dandy for some people, but there's good reason for it's low price.
spend more on something else.
It works, but it's a poor design

- Strengths:
- Small, light weight, comes with remote control, operated without an external power source, lower price than most HDMI switches.
- Weaknesses:
- No instructions included inside the package, instructions on the back of the package were insufficient, so we had to do some testing to figure it out. It does NOT auto-switch at all (as advertised on the package). In order to switch the input to any device, the other input device(s) MUST be powered off first - even in order to switch devices manually, which you need to do anyway, because as I said, the device does NOT automatically switch devices, even when all other devices are powered off.
- Summary:
- I bought this as an open box, and it wasn't the only open box, which means that at least a couple of people had bought these and returned them. I asked about the reasons, and I was told one person said it was incompatible with their stuff, and another person said it wasn't suitable - whatever that meant. They only give 5% off for open box. I'll try this for a few days, but if it continues to be a pain to use, it's going back again.
