- Strengths:
- - Price
- Speed
-
- Weaknesses:
- - Built in Graphics isn't the greatest, but will work for most non-hardcore gamers. You can upgrade with discrete Graphics.
- Summary:
- - Better price than Intel based boards
- Good for general purpose use
- Have had the board for over 2 weeks, been happy with speed, performance and stability.
- If you are installing WIn XP, you need to start at SP2, or the MB won't allow proper install.
Great product at a great price

- Found it easy to install and instructions fairly straight forward. Lots of novice as well as expert features. Relatively futureproof. Onboard graphics work good. Supported the Phenom II X6 1090t I put in it. Has 2 SATA 3GB/s and 2 SATA 6GB/s cables as well as an ide cable supplied.
- Weaknesses:
- None so far
- Summary:
- Don't regret buying this Motherboard. Good value for the price.

- Strengths:
- -Every connector imaginable
-6 SATA ports, also has SATA 3.0
-4 SATA cables included
-Works with every AMD chip (as of 03-2011)
-Crossfire for cheap
- Weaknesses:
- -PCIe x16 slot is the bottom (blue) one, not the top like every other board
-Gray slot at top is only PCIe 8x
-Both slots go to 8x when using Crossfire
-Only allows AHCI for 4/6 SATA. Need to use IDE mode for other 2 ports
- Summary:
- For the price you really can't go wrong. Will do everything you want it to. Be careful about the PCIe slot..(use the bottom blue slot if you only have one video card) I noticed it when running CPUZ, the link speed was only x8.. reading the Asus manual confirmed it. Board also comes with a strange "dummy card" to put in the top PCIe slot if you're only using the one x16 slot (no crossfire), so don't forget to install it. BASICALLY READ THE MANUAL ON THIS BOARD (lol)
amasing bord

- Strengths:
- I run this board as the basis for my linux based media center/desktop machine hooked up to a 40" HDTV. The kernel picks up all the hardware easily and runs extremely well with no hassles or problems.
- Weaknesses:
- The only issue that I've had is in trying to install the Catalyst driver for the video, which has been having issues with Fedora 13 and 14 and true to form, no cookies. The open source Radeon driver works fine though and with minimal tweaking renders everything properly, albeit doesn't touch all the 3d potential, but as a media center, that's not a big issue. Everything is smooth and quick.
- Summary:
- Great board with excellent linux support and very easy set up. Unlike the intel variants for asus boards that I've dealt with at work, the bios has no problem at all detecting correct ram settings, so a quick tweak through the bios and everything is gravy.
