- Strengths:
- Looks nice
- Weaknesses:
- Win 7 64, Mac & Ubuntu can't find it. Airport can't find it when it is plugged into it. Brand new Netgear 105E has it coming and going based on Netgear LED display.
Power button blends in to case too well and doesn't have a status LED right in the button to tell you if it is bturned on

- You'll be happier with something else...

Remote access
Torrent client
Quiet
- Weaknesses:
- None i have noticed
- Summary:
- This was the first NAS i purchased. I am pretty happy with it. I wanted a NAS to share my movies and music accross all the computers in my house. Suprisingly i get good performance. Much better than what i used to get from USB drives.
I love the remote access and the torrent client. These features make it totally worth it. Now i can access my files from anywhere. Plus you can remotely download torrents to the network space. By the time i get home the movie is already downloaded.
Never had a problem

- Strengths:
- price, looks nice
- Weaknesses:
- not reliable, poor support from manufacturer,
- Summary:
- I have had one of these devices for backups (500GB model), and it stopped working after six months. Cant even ping it!
La-Cie's customer support is very lacking..
Very impersonal, inefficient, and a waste of time!
I have been without backups for over a month now, with no resolution in site...
I should have read some reviews, and forums, before buying this crap!
Spend the extra few bucks, and get a d-link enclosure and add some drives. OR do not use for critical backups, and buy the IPR!
