- Strengths:
- - Excellent programmability with powerful macro facility
- Lots of programmable keys combined with bank selection
- Easy to program with minimal experience.
- Can associate profiles with applications so the right one auto-loads.
- Excellent system support ... 32 bit Win and 64 bit Win 7
- Software works well and is easy to understand.
- Weaknesses:
- - Nothing important. Would prefer the macros were saved in plain text format, however, so you could edit them using any text editor.
- Profiles are saved in some secret place so the only way to back them up is using the export/import facility. A minor annoyance.
- Summary:
- Excellent KB not only for gaming but office applications as well. It is addictive being able to turn a tedious sequence of keystrokes into a single "click". During gaming combat can often spell the difference between defeat and victory.
Have not had the "squeaky key" problem reported by someone else which suggests there may be some unit-to-unit variation in quality.
Pretty good but has its quirks, quite expensive for a wired KB

- Strengths:
- - Multi-color back light
- 12x3 on-the-fly programmable macro keys with application-specific configurations. E.g in a web browser you can program it to open your most visited sites, but execute programs in the default mode.
- Built-in USB2.0 and audio out/mic jacks
- Good tactile output
- I like how the audio level adjustment wheel works
- Attractive design
- Weaknesses:
- - Some keys make annoying squeaky sound
- No sleep, media center keys, and there is no easy way to program macros for the functions
- Macro keys do not always work as expected, keystrokes get missed, especially combinations with Ctrl/Alt/Shift/Arrow keys. That may depend on programs, but I personally think that that is a driver issue, which I hope can be fixed via a driver update
- Cannot connect external HDD to the USB port
- A slight curve and heavier wristpad would have improved ergonomics
- Summary:
- I am a programmer and bought the keyboard rather to improve productivity than for gaming, and it is pretty good for this purpose. A few minor driver annoyances aside, it would have been a great keyboard. However, I am really disappointed with the quality of materials. E.g. hard key and body plastic probably hasn't wore off and keys make annoying squeaky sound. I am considering lubricating the key mechanisms myself, but I am wondering if it would affect the warranty.
Excellent

- Strengths:
- - adjust colour of backlight
- great elevation
- significant number of G keys for any gamer
- essentially is the G19 keyboard minus the LCD screen
- volume scroll
- different modes
- Logitech fine tuned the keyboard to work with specific game macros
- keys require a light stroke
- Weaknesses:
- - price is a tad high, but its far more reasonable than the G19 (200 dollars)
- no power USB hub
-
- Summary:
- All around a great keyboard, a little expensive but nothing compared to the G19 keyboard...
a great buy if you do more than just type (ie. gaming, etc)
