Does the job

Strengths:
4 SATAII ports, Raid support, low profile, nice drivers, easy to use in BIOS
Weaknesses:
Tried setting up RAID1 with an existing drive, failed. Had to copy paste the data all over again, and reinstall the drives for the windows 7 64 bit to show up, maid another RAID1 set, with an existing drive, failed again. Tried the same thing, worked.
Summary:
The price is good, the performance is good, setting up RAID was not that impressive, but you get what you pay. eSATA does not work if 4 internal SATA are connected. Its only either or.

Works perfectly.

Strengths:
- Devices attached to it boot without any problems.
- Works perfectly out of the box.
- Easy to use and configure, BIOS.
- Very fast start-up (only adds a second or two to POST-times).
- Comes with two SATA cables (amazing at its price point).
- Very easy to add to an already installed OS (just insert CD, and Windows finds and installs them).
- Included utility to create a floppy, for use when doing fresh install of OS.
Weaknesses:
- Not all six ports are active at once, only four.
- "Old School" jumpers required to enable external eSATA ports, which disable two of the internal ports.
- Fairly high CPU use, during times of high disk-load.
Summary:
For the price, it's a steal! Get it, if you're looking to add reliable bootable SATA ports to your system. In only tested it in JBOD mode, but the BIOS has a decent selection of RAID modes.

Not bad for the price

Strengths:
- price
- supports hot-swap
Weaknesses:
- cannot boot from it
- only 2 SATA cables are provided
- can only use 4 ports at a time
- not hardware raid
Summary:
Originally I wanted to use this card to have two sets of RAID 1 (OS and Data). Although the OS could be installed onto the 1st mirror set, the system could not be setup to boot from it. I wasn't sure if SW RAID cards are bootable but now I know. Strangely it wasn't mentioned on whether this card supports hot-swap or not. Verified with Vantec that this card does supports hot-swapping of drives.

Bang for Buck

Does not get detected when installing an OS.
Summary:
Got it about a week ago and have not had any issues yet. Best product with a little price tag.

it works, it's cheap.

Strengths:
it works, 4 SATA channels, RAID controler work decently well but I haven't tried to boot from this card(if you even can...).

My set up is just 2x1TB Western digitial Black hard drives in RAID 1(mirrored). and a 250GB Toshiba 2.5inch as a pass thru drive.
Weaknesses:
it causes an extra 'step' in the booting process but this is to be expected. and only slows boot down by 1 second.
Summary:
for this price your really really can't go wrong.
