Not as bad as I first thought

Strengths:
Displays all temps and fan speeds simultaneously. Four pin PWM channel can control as many PWM fans as you want so long as you get a splitter that supplies power from the PSU (great for H80/H100 coolers if you replace their fans with PWM). Excellent viewing angle. The power usage display is a lot handier than I originally thought. Great for Crossfire or SLI as you can see at a glance how much power your system is using.
Weaknesses:
Unusual fan speed display. Short sensor cables. Poor thermal tape (scotch brand magic tape works better) but this is common on fan controllers. No auto mode, just manual control. Old fashioned control system (push wheel once for each fan, then turn to control that fan).
Summary:
I wouldn't give this controller a bad review just because I got one that broke down as one reviewer did. That's what warranty is for. After using this in my 2nd PC for about nine months, I find it's better than I gave it credit for in my first review and had to correct myself. It's a bit of a pain to adjust because of the control scheme they use, but the features all work good and the power meter is a real plus. Not a bad controller if you're not looking for auto control. Definitely not junk.

Not bad but not worth the price.

Strengths:
Looks cool, has a power usage display that works. Display background changes colour depending on the viewing angle.
Weaknesses:
Not programmable (unheard of for expensive fan controllers), fourth fan must be 4 wire and their connector only has four wires on one end (Doh!). Wires for temperature sensors are too short (this is not going into a baby computer), not deep enough to properly clip into a tool-less bay (had to use screws). Makes my power supply hum a little.
Summary:
If I had of known this controller is not programmable I would not have purchased it. Unfortunately I had to modify the length of the sensor wires so I can no longer return it. You must manually control the fans individually with the knob. Since many cases already have a manual control this can make this entire controller almost redundant. Sure the input power display is nice but that's not why I purchased it. I may have to take a loss and replace it with something I can program.

Works for a month well.
Weaknesses:
Started to display garbage (a bunch of '|' characters) when computer was on for longer periods, and now it displays garbage all the time.

Slick Controller

Strengths:
-Great looks
-Nice display
-Easy control
-Total Power monitor
-Long cables
Weaknesses:
-Fragile connector wiring
-Weak thermal tape (& only 4 pieces)
-Somewhat loose fit for tool-less 5.25" bays
-Vague instructions
-Pricey
Summary:
Sure I could have just used the BIOS fan controls or software like Speedfan. But a controller can provide more immediate and accurate adjustments which can be beneficial for overclockers. Additionally a controller such as the MFC3 adds some bling to a nice case. Very easy to use despite the minimalistic manual. The power useage output is very handy. Zalman is sending me more thermal tape as the stuff does not adhere very well.
