Strengths:
Hmmm, the keyboard feels nice. Not much else to write home about. There is a pretty cool zoom function that brings up a zoom window ala microfiche.
Weaknesses:
Mouse is very slippery, buttons are hard to press (my fingers get tired after extended use). mouse wheel foes not click when scrolled. That really sucks. I like clicky scroll wheels and the smooth wheel makes it easy to accidentally move the wheel while you are trying to use the wheel button. They moved the function key labels (hard to get used to) and reduced their size (bugs me). No function lights (really sucks bad).
Summary:
For the price this is a fairly good set but I would not purchase it for my computer at home (bought it for a work computer). I hate not having caps lock, scroll lock and num lock lights. Only cheap assed cruddy keyboard manufacturers do that (hello Rocketfish). I expected better from Microsoft. I hate the relabeling and resizing of the function keys. Makes it hard to see which key is which. If I had of purchased this for home I would return it, however it will do for the office.

Strengths:
Battery Life: I've been using the set for approximately 8 months on my HTPC. I sit rather close to the receiver so maybe that's why the battery life is so good, but I've probably changed them once (each device) since I started using them.
Weaknesses:
Function Buttons (F1-F12): Just being nit-picky but they are small and hard to read (blue text on black) and not separated into the usual groups of 4s. I use this for an HTPC so it's usually dim or dark when I'm trying to figure out which F-key is which.
Summary:
Can't say anything about range since I sit so close to the receiver. But I have no complaints other than MAYBE the function key layout. I'd buy this desktop again especially if it were on sale.

It's Cheap, the keyboard is pretty decent
Weaknesses:
They claim up to 30ft reception - mine is 12ft away and works VERY poorly at that distance. It's good at about 8ft. The reception is only good at greater distances with direct line of sight, which it difficult to acheive because the receiver is a usb stick with no wire. The mouse is big and bulky and fairly non-ergonomic to me, but if you have big hands it might be OK.
Summary:
You get what you pay for. I also have a Logitech LX 710 set. The laser mouse is a much smoother movement and much nicer to hold in your hand, but it also costs alot more. If you can afford to and you use it alot go higher end. I bought this set for the distance it is supposed to work at and therefore am not satisfied with the product as it isn't doing the job for me. Currently looking for a replacement.

Strengths:
Keyboard has a lot of customizable keys. Feels good while typing. Fairly silent. Lots of extra media shortcut keys. Palm rest integrated and well designed. Mouse is comfortable, precise, fast.
Weaknesses:
MMB has a delay in reaction and if you are using it a lot,I use 3D software, you are not going to be able to get around bad navigation due to this. I really loved the design but it seems to be an issue that hasn't been addressed by Microsoft for quite some time. The scroll wheel is the smooth type, which means that you are going to jump into a move that you don't want quite often. The keyboard doesn't have the Caps/Num/Scroll Lock lights but a popup message visible only on the desktop, not progs.
Summary:
The keyboard, except the missing lights, is quite nice.
The mouse I have no use for it due to delay on MMB click and smooth scrolling which might give you some headache if you scroll through weapons in a game. So If you are an extensive user of MMB, balance the pros and cons carefully.
