No 5.1 with Windows 7

Strengths:
Easy to install in the case. install diagrams were easy to understand.
Weaknesses:
a. I ended up going to Auzentech's website to get newer drivers.
b. Windows 7- only get 2.0 sound. I submitted a problem ticket with Auzen and heard NOTHING.
c. Config panel lets me setup 5.1, but only two speakers will work.
d. Submitted a trouble ticket at Auzentech but they will not respond.
Summary:
As a 5.1 card that works only as a 2.0 card in Windows 7, I would strongly recommend buying a different brand. The client support forums are screaming with angry customers, and to be quite honest, it's unprofessional to sell cards that don't work properly and then not help client fix their issues.

Better than expected

Strengths:
Easy to install with drivers from manufacturer's web site and sound quality is superior to my previous generic c-media. I noticed the board has been well designed (i.e. capacitors marked 106C) , not cheap by look and feel, and apparently has better frequency response. Once installed and tested with diatonis demo, I was able to hear new sounds I missed originally and finally noticed the sound crispness, some are talking about.
It is low-profile.
Weaknesses:
The labels on the G9 cable are somewhat misleading.
Summary:
I found sound and manufacturing quality of the board higher than average and happy with it.

NONE!
Weaknesses:
This sound card is Pathetic at best.
I purchased this card to replace the onboard sound of my Gigabyte MB in my Sim Racing machine, I'm back to my onboard sound, this sound card is back in the box and will sit there collecting dust for a very long time.
Depending on the setting in the card speaker setup software, the sounds are all messed up, when you get one thing to work right (a game), the next thing is messed up (DVD or music).
This IS the worst sound card I have ever owned.
Summary:
Using the optical out to my Logitech Z-5500 (5.1) speaker system, this card was a joke, in Grid, you couldn't hear the sound of the engine of the car you were driving, while watching a DVD, the sounds were also all messed up, could barely hear the singing and so on but music was decent. I wrote Azentech of the problem I was having, even the new drivers didn't help, I couldn't hear the center, Sub or rear speakers when I pressed the speaker icons in their software. The reply I got back was
Please go to advanced control, Check the 'Stereo Expander', the stereo sounds will output as 5.1 multichannel.
Please note that the digital output supports only stereo mode.
