- Weaknesses:
- Windows 7 Professional 64-bit constant freezing
- Summary:
- After an exhaustive diagnostic of my entire PC I found that my RAM (Mushkin HP3-10666) was faulty. I had no idea of all the negative reviews of this product and obviously should have checked before purchasing. I am having terrible freezing problems with either Windows Vista Business 32-bit, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and Ubuntu 64-bit. Happens ONLY under heavy load like using Prime 95, BOINC or video editing.
Replaced with Corsair XMS3-1333 Twin3X and haven't looked back.

- Strengths:
- See weaknesses
- Weaknesses:
- 1.)Will not run at advertised speed regardless of timings, voltage
2.)same problem with 3 different sets of ram
3.)29 days in stopped working even at lowered speed of PC3-8500 DDR3 1066
4.Inconsistent freezing EXCEPT when running Prime95 Tests
- Summary:
- -Spent at least a month going to MemX exchanging CPU/RAM/Motherboard 3 separate times! (tried different AM3 board/CPU with same result)
-Bought a new HDD (not the problem)
-Bought a new PSU (not the problem)
-In the end it was this junk ram!
DO NOT BUY!

- seemed to work ok initially, but one program regularly causes the computer to lock up. had the memory tested and replaced, but still experiencing lockups. i need this computer to process pictures and that is exactly what causes it to lock up. i will have to replace the memory with another product all together as this product is simply unsatisfactory.
- Summary:
- to make a long story short, pass on this memory.
looks good but thats it

- Strengths:
- -Worked great at 1066 with 6-6-6 timings
-Mushkin is a good brand with excellent forum support
-Price
- Weaknesses:
- Would NOT run stable at 1333 regardless of timings, RAM and CPU-NB Voltage settings on an Asus M4A78T-E. Memory Express was very helpful with this, letting me return the first set and giving me a second set to try out, which had the exact same issues: Prime95 would hard lock the system almost instantly with the RAM running 1333, and I had to install Windows 7 twice due to BSOD's. Returned the second set and got some Kingston HyperX 1600 DDR3 memory, which works no issues at 1600MHz DDR.
- Summary:
- This kit is a likely contender (due to price) for somebody looking to purchase RAM in combination with an M4A78T-E motherboard, so beware of compatibility issues with that board. While it's possible a different M4A78T-E board and CPU (Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition here) may produce different results, two different sets of this RAM producing the same results doesn't bode well for the combo, so look into a different set if you are getting an M4A78T-E.
