- If you have a D-link router do not purchase this equipment. Make sure to somehow find out if there are any other router manufacturers which may have similar to D-link problems. I am very surprised that $500 equipment has compatibility issues. Official Response From Seagate:
The BlackArmor NAS 440 was designed to be compatible with home and small office routers, including routers from DLink. If you are experiencing performance or detection issues with the BlackArmor NAS 440 while connected to your DLink router, please update your router to the latest firmware and contact D-link if you need additional router configuration assistance: http://www.dlink.com/support/supportscope. For additional assistance with the BlackArmor NAS, please contact Seagate support at 1-(800)-SEAGATE.

- Lots of features, easy to use interface, lots of settings for multiple users, comes with simple software that will map drives for you, RAID, gigabit, hot swapable, USB ports, unit is small in size, fast transfer speeds with no lag, FTP access

- Got this NAS for our small office (10 users) and it works great!! I'm totally impressed with how easy it was to setup and config!! Highly recommended!!
