Poor documentation

- Documentation doesn't explain the use of the Synchronization switch. Their web-site doesn't have a home page or anyway to contact support. Stubled upon better documentation for the same device on the Startech website: http://us.startech.com/media/products/SAT3540U2E/Manuals/SAT3540U2E.pdf This fully explains the Synchronization switch, which i had to set so the device would not power off otherwise the a long running backup or secure erase fails.

multipliying and I can access all the drives at the same time with an
average transfer rate of 90MB/s. This is a perfect storage solution. O/S Windows 7

- This unit, like several other hard drive enclosures available, has an external power supply with an unnecessary short reach cord and a multi pin head that goes to the unit itself.

- Overall this unit is an almost perfect solution. I say almost perfect because I truly dislike the multi pin head and socket idea on power cords. But and I mean but the quality of construction and function selection is absolutely first rate. In my situation I had four USB boxes with four cables and power supplies now that is reduced to one box. Outstanding.
