good card... but

Strengths:

works good with windows 7 64 bit media center , easily set up , good capture quality through composit / s video , mostly reliable, have had no large issues with video conversions / audio video sync.

Weaknesses:

the dual tuner on this card seems to have a poor signal to noise ratio when using analog cable in. I am comparing image quality to two other Hauppauge single tuner usb devices ( 1950 & pvr usb2 ). have had a couple of issues with the IR blaster failing on my set top box resulting in recordings of the wrong shows but that could also be due to set up options in media center
media center imposes DRM on certain SD analog cable channels ( only mention that because its a media center edition card)

Summary:

I replaced a 1950 usb device with this card because the usb device has signal loss issues. other than two wrong channel recordings the 2250 has been quite reliable. recording through setop cable box and s-video in is giving fair quality recordings.
I think I could have been just as or more happy with a single tuner card.
