Strengths:
Small unit
No external power supply
Weaknesses:
Short cables
Only passes through stabdard keys
Price is way too high for you get
Summary:
The unit only passes through standard keys. I have a keyboard with volume control, mail, internet shortcuts - none work with this KVM. The cables are very short and the price is high. I don't recomend this product.

Basic only and repeated keys

Strengths:
Performs it's function.
Weaknesses:
Only works with basic keyboard and mouse. Sometimes misses keystrokes and often repeats keystrokes (like a stuck key while you are typing). Extremely annoying especially when using the backspace key...
Summary:
Would definately look for an alternative. (Tooks me 3 tries to type this sentence)

Waste of time

Strengths:
None - simply did not work with my existing peripherals.
Weaknesses:
This KVM would not recognize my Dell wired USB keyboard or my Logitech wireless mouse. I did scrounge an old Microsoft wireless keyboard and an even older Microsoft wired mouse that somehow met this devices requirements but there is no way I want to use these daily. D-Link "Technical Support" was the worst experience I have had to date with a call center.... which is really saying something.
Summary:
Unless you have an incredibly basic wired keyboard and wired mouse don't waste your time with this product.

an excellent product

Strengths:
Keyboard switching of computers don't need access to unit
Easy setup
Small footprint
Weaknesses:
Only supports basic keyboard and mouse
Summary:
Good basic switching unit, but you are limited to basic keyboard only it will not support advanced keys. Mouse is also basic Wacom tablet will not work through it. I would prefer a straight through USB so it would support advanced equipment.

keystrokes repeat

Strengths:
switch picks up mouse keyboard fairly quickly
Weaknesses:
issue with keys going repeating itself every so often. very frustrating.
this is enough for me to return this.
Summary:
The bug in keyboard repeating keystroke is bad enough to make me buy another KVM. Tried Logitech and Microsoft USB keyboards with no luck.

Excellent product
