Mostly Awesome, BUT Sometimes so Annoying!

Sean from Calgary writes:
Strengths:
No Wires
So Sensitive and Accurate
Amazing Battery Life (especially for the keyboard since it uses real batteries)
Very Nice Driver (wasn't this good before)
Function Buttons and Music Control are Really Handy
Charger for the Mouse is Amazing
On and Off button for the Mouse (will make sense if you are a "sleep mode" fan)
Weaknesses:
Suddenly, your keyboard is not connected anymore and you have to connect it back using the SetPoint tool IF YOUR MOUSE IS STILL CONNECTED.... but I must say it happens maybe twice a week max for me.
The most annoying part of it is that the keys get stuck too often while typing. It's like you have to push them almost 100% vertically... Mine is three years old and I had this issue from the beginning.
Summary:
I really like the design and the way the the mouse feels and fits completely in my hand, but because of the points that I mentioned under weaknesses, I'm giving this set 4 stars... but who knows maybe my set has some issues... Overall, I'm going to use this set until it stops working cause I'm happy enough with it.

Mx 5500 keyboard mouse combo

Strengths:
-Longs lasting mouse battery with internal lipo.
-Good thumb scrolling wheel and comfort on mouse
-Good free downloadable software from Logitech
-Memory expresses price match deal
-Operates off of native motherboard Bluetooth
Weaknesses:
-Expensive
-Cant change what temp the keyboard displays
-has minor connectivity issues, but my wireless devices always seem to have interference.
Summary:
Best keyboard I have used, keyboard feels great, and the mouse is the best ive had yet. Best combo on the market but there are still issues that need to be worked out by Logitech. If you don't mind paying alot, you will be satisfied with your purchase.

Awful Product....Never Again...

Quiet keys, crazy great range when it works.
Weaknesses:
Says 'connected'.

Lies lies LIES!!!
Summary:
My 2nd keyboard just died, 1st set worked for about 3 weeks and then said it was 'connected' via bluetooth but isn't. Got a replacement from MemX South Store, this one says 'connected' but it's a lie. Tried it on multiple systems, just a horribly awful peice of junk!

I am very dissapointed, there was a time when logitech made nice products..... I wish I could give it 0 stars out of 5....

Quits working after a few months!

Strengths:
Great comfort, features, range, responsiveness
Weaknesses:
It doesn't work for long!
It WILL stop working after a few months - going on to my 3rd from Logitech and they instantly replace it - that tells you something right there. They know it's broken and they keep selling it - don't buy this one!!
Summary:
I was really impressed with this mouse/keyboard when I got it, but it's been a year and a half now - and I've had it replaced - and I'll have to do it a second time now! There is a major, fundamental problem with the mouse that Logitech hasn't fixed. After a few months, the tracking gets "jittery" and within a couple of weeks after that, the tracking is so poor, you can't even use it - the pointer jumps all over the screen. I've used it with multiple bluetooth adapters, computers, etc.

Good Set

Daniel from Calgary, Alberta writes:
Strengths:
-Excellent mouse, both in feel and precision
-Useful Keyboard time and date display
-Awesome little built in calculator
-Keys feel just amazing when pressed, very quiet, very smooth!
-Mouse has two jog wheels and 3 extra buttons on it; very handy
Weaknesses:
-The keyboard wrist rest is not detachable
-The wrist rest also grabs palm sweat like crazy; expect to be wiping it a lot if you care at all about appearances or cleanliness. Kind of gross actually.
-Volume control on keyboard is a couple of buttons, I prefer wheel based control for precision and speed.
Summary:
Nice set here, overall a good buy. A few small annoyances keep it from being a great set though. If you can find it on sale like I did, pick it up. Otherwise, it's a bit pricey.

Finally a excellent long range combo

Strengths:
Combo:
-Long range
-Reliable Connection

Keyboard:
-Nice choice of feature buttons
-Usefull LCD display

Mouse:
-Extremely comfortable
-Long charge time/quick recharge time
-Seperate transmitter and charger allowing charger to be placed far away from computer
-Wicked scroll wheel
Weaknesses:
Keyboard takes a half seckond to start typing if left alone for about 20 min.

Cant get software to work with vista yet.

Now I have to replace all my other desktop sets with this one because they all feel inferior now.
Summary:
Tried 3 different combo sets including the Logitech MX5000, and returned them all. They all had major downfalls. Just give it a try, you wont be dissapointed.
