Reliable but band-limited

Strengths:

Solid connections and never goes down.

Weaknesses:

WAN to LAN throughtput is limited to 7.5 Mbps

Summary:

I bought this router because of it's 8-ports. It's solid and very reliable. It never loses connection and never goes down. However, the WAN to LAN throughput is theoretically limited to 12.5 Mbps and in actuality is around 6 Mbps. This was fine when my connection was Shaw's "High Speed Internet" where the maximum download is limited to 7.5 Mbps. when I upgraded to Shaw's "Extreme Internet" at 15 Mbps I never saw an increase in my download speed because of the router's limitations. Don't buy this router if you use Shaw Extreme.
