Dual inputs allow you to receive ATSC and NTSC signals. ATSC is where you hook up a UHF and/or VHF-HI antenna and receive HDTV signals over the air (OTA).
Changes channels quickly
Windows 7 64 bit compatibility
Has never crashed with two months of solid use.
You are not forced to install the Hauppauge software. You can just install the driver and use Windows Media Center.
Remote control signal range is pretty good.
Weaknesses:
No digital input, such as DVI, HDMI or even Component Video! This means no HD signals for video game consoles.
Average remote control. It does the job but could be better but what man doesn't want a better remote control?
Summary:
I live in residence at the U of A, so this card suits me perfectly. Basic cable is included with my rent which I hook up to the NTSC input and I stick an antenna out the window and receive all the local channels in HD (by summer 2011 everyone, currently only Global broadcasts in Edmonton with CityTV summer 2010).
If I could hook a console up to this card I would give it five stars. I'm not a huge video game player so this really does not affect me.
