- It's a very fast USB drive and an inexpensive one as well - these are the reasons I bought it for.
But one thing totally shocked me - it survived an accidental hot water wash cycle - and it was open, so no cap on.
I am very impressed with this product.

*Speed is only achieve with Windows Vista and Windows 7 because of Ready Boost. If the device is read boost compliant.

- Will never buy Patriot flash drive. I have used a number of other flash drives from no-name to brand name and none have ever had a write protection problem except this one.

- My old 8GB drive transfers at 5mb/s and this drive transfers at 20mb/s, so 200X IS guaranteed! I will consider this again, another fantastic product from Patriot!

- Haven't had any problems with this drive. Fast read/write speed, recognized on every system I've connected it to, and durable to a fault. Dog got a hold of the first one I bought and used it as a chew toy; I bent the usb connector back into shape, and was still able to load it and save all my data! Only issue is the thickness....on a laptop with closely stacked usb ports, it tends to get in the way; otherwise, no problems.
Overall, great drive

- I've been using this stick for a couple of months now, I use it for work & personal daily. No even a hint of problems even keeping it in my coat pocket in harsh winter weather & temperatures. It works great warm or cold. I'm in process of buying a 2nd one.

- What they don't say is that this drive has a history of problems with write prtection that activates on its own. See the internet for more on this. Mine write protected "itself" after the second use, rendering the drive useless. Yes you can send it back to Patriot for a new one but the custommer service department doesn't appear to be too responsive.

- I was wary of buying a drive that advertises it's ties to Windows Vista, but like most USB drive it ran fine under Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. I was suprised at the difference in speed between XP and Ubuntu. Transfering 6 gig in XP took 20 min while the same transfer to Ubuntu took 3.5 mins. Needles to say this is a good drive Ubuntu, and an alright drive for XP.
