Strengths:
Small, cheap
Weaknesses:
Almost never works, and when it does, REALLY SLOW.
Summary:
Used it for about a month, and today it started melting and just smelled really bad. This product is a health hazard and dangerous.

Will not do SDHC cards (4gig)

Have to plug card into reader THEN hook it up to USB for my 512meg SD card to read.
Summary:
You get what you pay for

Great No Frills Card Reader

Strengths:
Purchased today, works exactly as I wanted it to. Paired with a 2GB Kingston SD Card, works perfectly. Don't know why the other reviewers are having such difficulty with it. Running under XP.
Weaknesses:
Feels kind of cheap but other than that, works exactly as I needed it to, how can you go wrong for ten bucks.
Summary:
Great reader, works as expected, cheap.

No problems, does what it advertises

Strengths:
Small, no external power supply needed, simple and functional
Weaknesses:
Feels cheap and flimsy
Summary:
I don't know why the other reviewers have had such poor luck with this card reader. I've had mine for a year and it's still working great.

As for the Compact Flash complaint, mine most certainly does read compact flash... in fact it's transferring 3+ gigs of pics as I type this.

Vista indicates that the USB device is not supported. Tried it on XP, worked ok. Cannot find drivers.
Summary:
Do not get it if you are using Vista.

Strengths:
None
Weaknesses:
Computer does not recognize the reader (have not had this problem with any usb device ever). Error message just says it has malfunctioned. No support from manufacturer if it's a driver issue. I suggest trying a different one don't waste your money.
Summary:

Not quite as advertised

Does not support CompactFlash despite the description saying it does.
Summary:
I almost purchased one of these, but noticed there isn't any socket large enough to plug in a CompactFlash card. The sales guy agreed that the description was misleading. The product may have changed from an earlier model.
