- Strengths:
- Good optical quality for the very low price range. Good VR. Small size.
- Weaknesses:
- 300mm is quite blurry. Slow & unreliable autofocus.
- Summary:
- There's a gigantic price difference between this lens and the Nikon 70-200 2.8G AF-S VR meaning if you want something in between you have to go with a third party manufacturer. Even then it's a jump up to around the $1100+ mark to get anything better than this. This lens is what it is: average optical quality at a low price.

A little bit slow in low light conditions
- Summary:
- Glad I purchased this lens. This lens replaced a 70 - 200mm that I had. Now that I have this new lens, I don't know why I waited so long.
Image quality is super..I would highly reccomend this lens for anyone looking to shoot wildlife and nature.
